ONE 4-
LETTER WORD CHANGE ENDED UP DESTROYING SELF-GOVERNMENT IN THE UNITED STATES
That’s right guys, the substitution of a single 4-letter word—the word “MORE”
in place of the word “LESS” was all it took to destroy the great American
experiment in self-government by We the People.
The
1st of the proposed amendment for our Bill of Rights was to set an
upper limit on the size of a House district.
The House version was to set an ultimate cap at 50,000 population, the
Senate version set the cap at 60,000 population. The House version was adopted, but was sent
out for ratification with a single word change, the word “less” being changed
to “more” rendered the propsed
amendment meaningless with regard to capping the size of a House district.
After the first enumeration, required by the
first Article of the Constitution, there shall be one Representative for every
thirty thousand, until the number shall amount to one hundred, after which the proportion shall be so regulated by Congress,
that there shall be not less than one hundred Representatives, nor less than
one Representative for every forty thousand persons, until the number of
Representatives shall amount to two hundred, after which the proportion shall
be so regulated by Congress, that there shall not be less than two hundred
Representatives, nor less
than one Representative for every fifty thousand persons.
Evil is cunning. Not only did the simple change of the one word destroy
America, nobody even talks about it or learns of it. You certainly never hear the
pundits, the politicians, the Leftists or the Rightest EVER refer to it.
Today, the federal government as well as most of our state and local
governments are controlled by a small group of elites—the powerful, the well
connected, the wealthy.
A significant portion of the founders of America were not satisfied with the U.S.Constitution as originally drafted—unless it contained
a Bill of Rights. The First and most critical on the list is referred to as Article the First.
Its intended purpose was to place a limit on the population size of a House
District, such that We the People could select, elect
and hold accountable a representative of known character. At the first (1789)
congress, the House determined a population of 50,000 was the maximum that
should be permitted. The Senate version was for a maximum of 60,000. In
reconciliation, the House version of 50,000 was selected. But, a slight of hand
action took place prior to its submission to the states for ratification: the
word “less” in the final clause was changed to “more”—which destroyed the whole
purpose of the amendment.
Today’s House district population size is over 750,000 and expanding with no
end in sight. With the one 4-letter word change, even if Article the First had
been ratified, as sabotaged, it would have absolutely no impact or effect on
limiting district population size from what it is today.
But then, you never think about it, you never talk about it—and certainly don’t
take action to do anything about it.
Because we have a broken system, a corrupt system, there is no end of issues to
confront—be it border control, runaway bloated government, outright
corruption—you name it. However, if you don’t address the root issues and
educate people to the root
issues, other than winning a little skirmish here or there—nothing is going
to change aside from the situation getting steadily worse.

as we as a nation need a unified federal policy that enforces and upholds a
just rule of law as our founders tried to give us, starting with the
Constitution of the United States of America.
We need to start local groups to educate ourselves, share ideas, network, and
hopefully gain the ability to provide the audio/video and films needed to reach
the masses.
